Here we show you how to redo the analysis presented in the videos by Jose Fedriani using the R programming language (R Core Team, 2019). To install R, go to https://cran.r-project.org/. Additionally, we suggest to use the graphical user interface Rstudio (RStudio Team, 2018), which provides many helpful features. The download RStudio, go to https://www.rstudio.com/.

Because this is not a general introduction to the R programming language, we assume that you already have basic knowledge about it. If not, one big advantage of R is that you can find an enormous amount of tutorial and resources about it (e.g. Grolemund, 2014; Venables et al., 2019; Wickham and Grolemund, 2016).
