GroIMP Module 1 English

Spoken text

The example list is reachable at the Menu Bar -> File -> Show Examples. A list with the headline “Example Projects for GroIMP” is opening. These examples show the different and manifold fields of application of GroIMP in modelling. Examples for many different topics are available beside botanical examples. Models like the “Helicopter” or the “City generator” underline the opportunities of using GroIMP outside biology.
But we’re interested in calling some botanical examples which contents fit to the course “Structural and functional models of plants”.
We call the example “Tree with sympodial branching” and we see that the whole project for this example is opening. It’s possible to use this as a normal project where you can alter things and save them.
We close this example and at last, we open the example “Tree based on pipe model of branch width”. It’s visible that this tree model was created with much more detail. Textures and a ground surface are already implemented. The model code is thus more extensive.

Finally, we’re closing this project too. You can look at the remaining examples by yourself and you can try to comprehend them after learning the language XL.
