Forest Management Planning

How to collect? (1/4)

READ THE INSTRUCTION

The general social information of the targeted forest region could be obtained through literature and official documents from international, national, or local sources. However, other information may require contributions from stakeholders through field surveys.

Techniques such as Observation, Documentation, Focus group discussion, Questionnaires, Watching and asking about the life history, Text/historical sources, Time allocation study, Audio recordings, Photographs, Videos, and Interviews are employed in the field to collect information. Each technique has its pros and cons and can be used as a single or in a combination depending on the field’s conditions.

In this course, the interview technique is introduced.
