Updating the list of search terms (4/8)

After searching a database or a library catalogue with the search terms from your list, you might notice that some of the search terms you have do not return any suitable results. It might also happen that thesauri or synonym dictionaries will give you some good ideas as of what terms may apply to your topic (see chapter 4 “How do I search effectively?”). Sometimes you will also come across new keywords while reading the texts you have already found. This way, it is important to keep your list of search terms flexible and update it in the course of your research.
