Accessing electronic resources off campus (5/10)

Many databases allow you to access full texts with just a few clicks: you will find an “SFX” or “SUB Volltext” button next to many articles. If you click on this button, you will be taken to an SFX page which will contain information on the availability of the text and include the links to the journal page or the library catalogue. The website of the Göttingen State and University Library offers further detailed information on accessing full texts with SFX.

The availability of the full text in most cases depends on the license terms. Always search for and access electronic journals and databases via the homepage of the Göttingen State and University Library.  The “traffic light” system in the Electronic Journals Library (EZB) will tell you which volumes are available and where they can be accessed. The same “colour” labelling is used in the Database system (DBIS). In the following video, we explain how to access electronic resources licensed by the Göttingen State and University Library from off campus.
