Truncation can significantly increase the number of search results, which is a useful strategy at an early stage of your research. You can also combine different truncated search terms with each other to better manage the outcome of your search query.  However, truncation might also lead to results unrelated to your topic. To avoid this, make sure to place truncation characters at the end of the word stem. There are, however, certain exceptions. Check out the following video made by the John M.
