Full-text access via Google Scholar (16/19)

Google Scholar lists articles from subject journals with titles, authors, and further details. The actual texts (full-texts) are either available for download – so-called Open Access publications – or available for a fee. The Göttingen State and University Library has licenced many journals (e-journals), so that their content can be accessed by members and students of the university free of charge.

To be able to directly access full texts via Google Scholar, we recommend accessing Google Scholar via the authentication server HAN – as explained in the video below. If you access it from off-campus, a log-in window will appear, where you must enter your library user name (back of your student ID) and the library password. This way, items licenced by the Göttingen State and University Library will be marked with “SUB Göttingen Fulltext” you will be able to access them via the SFX server. Alternatively, you can install the VPN client to be able to access the electronic resources of the library wherever you are. The following video describes this process in detail:
