What does Google Scholar find? (14/19)

For a quick introduction to search for academic articles and online publications you can use Google Scholar, an academic search engine. If your subject area includes a lot of digital publications or if you already have bibliographical information on an article, you can easily find full texts. Google Scholar, however, does not offer any systematic evaluation conducted by subject experts, so that – similar to search in Google – you will retrieve a large number of results. Although your search in Google Scholar will be limited to academic literature, you will notice that not all publishers offer open access to their materials. Therefore, in Google Scholar, it will be difficult to conduct a search as comprehensive as researching in subject databases combined with library catalogues.
