Up to now, all previous units have covered the introduction to the most important functions of the software which hopefully gave a good overview of the handling of GroIMP.
Now, it’s time to learn a bit more about relational growth grammars and the language XL. Beside the course, the tutorial integrated in GroIMP can help to get started with this. This unit should briefly introduce this tutorial:
You can get to the tutorial by the Menu Bar -> File -> RGG Tutorial. A new window is opening with a different layout. The tutorial text is embedded on the left side. From there, the navigation inside the tutorial is possible by several different features. The single parts of the tutorial are built on one another where several examples complement each part. The examples can be loaded from the links in the tutorial in the Editor and they also can be executed from the tutorial. All examples are located inside the File Explorer.

It’s obvious that the first learning steps about relational growth grammars can be achieved simply and clearly with the help of this tutorial.
